Registration and Updating process are a shame - ANTJedi

The problem with the website is it's still targeted towards corporate customers, which is the reason for all the extra info...but I agree there should be a 'home'/'personal' version.

As for v2...there's also an offer going on for free upgrades to v3 for those who purchased v2 in October and November:

I agree completely with this comment. Every time I update VMWare, I am AMAZED at how complex it is, how many clicks, I have to register or login, go through multiple web pages, sign off on the SAME software license agreement that I've already agreed to many times before.

Fusion 3.0 is a great product, but the VMWare web pages and upgrade process are really too complex.

Agree! Entire site for upgrading and finding your specific product and how to get any support is confusing. They are way overboard!

So, guys from VMware, if you happen to read this: After DAYS of trying to buy the update through your site, and all I ever got was error messages that you did not like my data (whatever, name or credit card information or something else), I have now decided to use the program with a serial found on the web. To you this may sound "illegal", but I have wasted time worth much more than the product costs, so I feel I actually did pay for it - only that you will not get the money. And that is completely justified in my eyes. If you don't want my money, you will not get it. It is actually that easy.
I will check back some time in the future; maybe you will change your website so that ordinary people can pay for your product, then you might finally get money. If you don't, you don't. I feel sorry for the programmers that I just cannot pay for a product as good as this one. Go to your marketing department to complain or beat your web designers.
