Whatever reason you don't want to spend $40 doesn't matter. I think it's great when a someone suggests an alternative. That's what the VT community is all about. And there are many, many free apps here, so what's the problem? I used 1Password to login to make this comment but I could have also used the password vault built into Firefox. Both remember my username and password. Both work. 1Password has tons more features and syncs with my iPhone but the other is free. So chill folks, it's no big deal.Monday, October 12 2009 @ 03:26 PM PDT

Sure, many browsers have some sort of password management. However, what I like about 1Password is that it's independent of my browser, so I can use it with Safari, Firefox, or any of the other supported browsers... all at the same time and without having to set it up in each browser. Practically speaking, it means that if today I'm in Safari when I setup a new forum user account, 1Password will help me automatically login to that same account tomorrow while I'm using Firefox. I find that I'm now free to use very robust and unique passwords for each login that I have, without having to remember which browser I originally saved the password in.Monday, October 12 2009 @ 09:26 PM PDT

If people are scrimping to save $40, the economy is never going to bounce back. 1Password is worth far more than a few lattes or packs of smokes.Reply to This
