After first indicating that my problem was related to the fact that I hadn't done a "clean instal" of Toast 10, Roxio support now tells me that Toast 10 is only supported on systems running OS X 10.5 or later, as if no version of Toast 10 was ever compatible with Tiger. Whatever. Toast 10.0.2 is running just fine on my system running OS X 10.4.11. I guess I'll stick with 10.0.2.
