Should Saft-users switch to Glims? - morepowerfulastronaut

I'm a former Saft user that switched to Glims. The only major feature I can think of off the top of my head that Saft offers that Glims doesn't is ad blocking. However, since I use GlimmerBlocker, this doesn't affect me. All told, their feature sets are very similar. I prefer some things in Glims, in particular its awesome drop-down search suggestions. The problem with Saft as I see it is that it doesn't provide any real motivation to pay for it rather than just use Glims. The new Saft version for 64-bit Safari on Snow Leopard requires a paid upgrade, while Glims is now fully 64-bit SL compatible at no charge. I think that Saft's developer should be introducing new features if he wants people to pay to upgrade. If you already own a Saft for SL licence, you might not see much reason to switch to Glims, but if you're deciding on a paid upgrade, I strongly suggest trying Glims before you shell out for Saft.
