I also tried the updater in the Bookdog application menu and it said my 5.3.3 was current. So I don't know where this version 5.3.5 is.

Didn't see anything on the Sheep Systems support forum either.

… but the Bookdog Update News page doesn't label it as a beta.

This isn't the first time the app update has been confusingly sloppy.
