Oh WOW! I should have mentioned to get SafariBlock. I just installed that & it does exactly what you're looking for, but you don't have to be a hacker to use it. SafariBlock is very simplistic and works like PithHelmet used to work.

One of the websites that PithHelmet always had trouble with was Yahoo. It couldn't decide what to block, so it would either not block something or block way too much.

I'm NEVER looking back to this crap software again. What a waste of time - like a PC.

I don't see the behavior that you do. I get a "page blocked" popup about once a month.
