1) Under the application menu, there is an option to choose another iTunes library. Pick that and direct it to your library.
2) I haven't contacted the developer myself, but on the app's web page, there's a tiny little Support link at the bottom of the page (it's actually just a mailto link) to contact the developer.
I hope this helps. I find this app infinitely preferable to the monstrously bloated iTunes for simple listening or watching.
