The original developer is not the one charging the upgrade. A separate company bought the program and made it a $20 upgrade with essentially no new/noteworthy features.

Nobody wants apps for free. What is prompting this uproar is that not only are there numerous free alternatives including the ''old'' MainMenu that work just fine. You can slap a cheap coat of green paint over a red wagon but it's still just a red wagon painted green.
