If the .ai files are stored as "pdf compatible", then CDFinder 5.6 will read the thumbnails already. But we are investigating if we can get them for the other case as well...
Regarding the 3D formats: That is a great idea. Since I myself don't do any 3D at this time, what formats and applications are important? Do you have a couple of sample files? -> support@cdfinder.de
