Mac The Ripper Wannabe - dhannan

just tried this, and have a few issues:

1. if you don't turn the option off in preferences, this app "reports successful rips"... I want to know to who, and why.

2. there's absolutely no control over what I can and cannot rip from a disc - if I just want the movie and no menus, I'm out of luck. If I want to extract a certain chapter only, forget about it.

3. it's $19 for SO much less than MTR.

You listed that you have never even tried it! How can you evaluate it?

Trust me ... the free version of MTR does NOT rip all DVDs.
Even the paid version of MTR has problems ripping some DVDs.

Once you try RipIt, you'll NEVER go back to MTR.
RipIt is 1000 times better.
Give it a try before you knock it.

The problems with Mac the Ripper is the lack of support. Ripping software has to be updated to keep up with DRM changes. MTR was going to go to a paid version then pooped out with no updates for awhile.

MacTheRipper v3 0 r14i is the new version to get, and it's free.
Do a Torrent Search for it and you will find it.
