Does anyone know ? - afterhours

Yes, this OSX product still works. Works in Tiger and in Leopard. Buy it used on eBay, or buy an earlier legit version and buy the upgrade price. I already own it, so I haven't used the link in the other review. If that works -- great. I use in in 10.5.7 on a Powerbook G4/867

This is a functional OCR tool. The proofing of a document, spell-checking and such doesn't always make a lot of sense ... depending on how fast one can type. But if it works well enough for you and saves you time, calculate that into the cost equation.

Is Readiris 11 an alternative? - danielsplace

Hi. Am about to scan dozens of documents with an old Mac version of Omnipage X. And it sucks, so I was trying to update and realised that it has been discontinued for Mac :-(

So, does anybody know Readiris?

I mean US$129 is ok, if it is worth something...but don't want to spend money on another software that is probably no better than my old omnipage version.
