Thanks for your note, and I disabled the "application sharing" option. Please be advised that as soon as I installed parallels 4, I DID chose the WINDOW mode in the "startup and shutdown" menu. Nonetheless, whenever parallel is activated by double clicking a file that is associated with M$-windows (as opposed to starting up by choosing the Parallel application), parallels starts in coherence mode and NOT in window mode. I suppose that if this is not intentionally so, then it is a bug !
