Outrageous upgrade price - mail117
It's an app that I use so rarely I doubt that I will upgrade. At $10 I would have anyway, but at $20, no thanks.Monday, April 13 2009 @ 03:10 PM PDT
Outrageous at any price - Mr Reynolds--2008
I upgraded because I like to encourage developers, and not because I think the upgrade price is justified. I never got over the learning curve for the earlier application, and I was hoping this version would be more user-friendly. But no. The interface is prettier, but the application is not easier to understand. As you move from left to right on the app screen you are given more and more and more choices with what I consider rather cryptic descriptions of why you should, or might not want to, select a particular search strategy. Warnings and exceptions abound. After a while it becomes progressively easier to decide to place the application--with its $20 upgrade, now--into a folder named "Unused Applications." You know--the folder full of applications you don't want to throw away because you paid too dearly for them, but which otherwise you cannot ever enjoy using, and may very well never use at all . . . .Friday, June 12 2009 @ 02:29 PM PDT
Unreasonable upgrade price - dafus
Add me to those who (a) never got past the learning curve, and (b) aren't willing to pay $20 for software that they may well never use.Monday, October 12 2009 @ 07:25 PM PDT

I quite agree with this. I ran the demo only to find out most of the new features only have to do with scanning inside special apps, like Mail and iTunes. In fact, the webpage says that the disk image contains a complete change history, but the version history in the disk image is only one line long!! And as for simply scanning the disk for duplicates, I don't see how 2.0 adds anything to help me over 1.4. All for $20? I agree it should be $10 at most.Reply to This
