Hmmm, we have eight Macs in our home, and I do the free support for another dozen or so for friends and family which I migrated from PC to Mac over the last few years. Many of them are of the older generation (my father has an iMac and is 76, my uncle has a MacBok and is 72, etc) and are quite resistant to change. How you jump to the conclusion that my handling of this is bad IT is beyond me ...
