You require a serial number to go along with the new version. It is not just a simple updater that you are getting, but a full version installer. So far I have a collection of 3, and soon to be 4 serial numbers.
Just think of how much time their tech support department would save, and how much easier it would be for their legitimate customers, if they provided a patcher.
In conclusion, their update system is as ugly as the user interface of this product. If you can ignore that, then the product does work.
