Finder Crashes every 90 secs. - mike429

I've read on other sites that this problem may be related to an incompatibility with a Stuffit AVR module, that should be disabled in System Preferences as a work-around.

Finder Crashes every 90 secs...*update* - vee_zee

As an update information has been posted elsewhere that Stuffit AVR is the issue as it conflicts with QT. It should be turned off in system preferences or login items (in accounts). This first suggestion solved the issue for me.

To revert back, just go to the backup you made before installing. You did make a backup, right?

Before this update I had the exact same problem when updating my wife's Powerbook to 10.4.11 just last week.
Exactly the same annoying issue (but unrelated to this QT 7.6 update.)
One more thing to add to the list of fixes is open up your Stuffit Installer and Un-Install the Stuffit AVR using the uninstall tab. Only check that.
Fixed in a heartbeat . . .
