Forgot to mention, for what it's worth, that there were a number of permissions repairs associated with this update.

Underpowered Machine - Pen Dragon

Titanium PowerBook—1 GHz, 1 GB RAM, OS X 10.4.10—is marginal for today's software. Performance for Mac will improve with the release of Snow Leopard, but maybe not for PowerPC machines. I know of other lower end PPC machines that struggle with performance today.

Ugly Wasn't Bad Enough? - GGGlen

OMG, talk about a moronic review!
I'm a hardware tech, and you can't even get parts for a 1 GHZ Titanium PowerBook because they're friggin OBSOLETE!!!
Fer cryin' out loud, the 1 GHZ model was released SEVEN YEARS AGO!!!

The G4 processor was replaced by the G5 which was replaced by the Intel which was replaced by the Core2Duo which was replaced by the... You get the picture???

Hey man, I can't run Vista on my 1 GHZ PIII processor either, but I'm not dumb enough to complain in front of thousands of people that a SEVEN YEAR OLD computer can't run software released this morning!!!

You're aware that no one even writes PPC software, aren't you?

SHEEESH!

Dunce.

Come now.

A 1ghz G4 with 1 gig of RAM is still a great setup. Even today.

Of course, iTunes Video will struggle a bit on it - it's H.264 which is very demanding.

I think he's within his rights to complain.

If you like a nice UI there's always iTunes 7 with Aguat.
