Gizmodo viability - Dec 28th 2008 - stardog2000

Design Intuition is a product of Gizmolab. When I checked on 1/13 the Gizmolab site still exists pretty much unchanged during the last year.

Gizmodo (The Gadget Blog) also seems to be up and running but is not a site directly associated with Design Intuition

Gizmodo viability - Dec 28th 2008 - helosean

I have owned this software for over a year now and it has never worked. I am using both a pc and an iMac 24 with Leopard. I have released the license back and forth trying to find out which computer would run it better but, it is the software that is crap and not either of the computers.
I have tried to save my work after hours of work and measurments to make sure that what I have rendered is what I want and when I attempt to reopen the saved file it isn't there. The name is but, not the actual drawing. I have tried to both write and call Gizmo Labs but, no one is answering these cries for help.

Beware of any software that has as many disclaimers as Johnathan Sands' does. This guy doesn't want to be responsible for anything other than cashing your check. I bought the early bird special for the next release hoping to save a buck however, the next release has never come.
I have wasted more time trying to fix or should I say understand the problems that I am having than I would have if I just gotten out paper, pencil and T-square. If Design Intuition is cheaper than any of the real woodworking CAD software out there it is because it was launched before it was ready. Sands was trying to get you, the woodworker, to sort out his bugs rather than pay a staff to do it and to get it right. If it is too good to be true, then it probably is.

Lastly, I don't know who wrote the rave review for this software but, I'll bet the "Mac Head" who wrote it doesn't know the difference between a cabinet saw and a contractors saw. He is just some guy who lives through his computer and dreams his time away. Until you work a project from start to finish and can review all of it, don't write that it is a "Joy to Use". It is unfair to the rest of us that need to keep an eye on money.

Gentle people, do not spend your money or time on this turkey. You will loose both in the end and have nothing to show for it. Mr. Sands, shame on you. You and Bernie Madoff should share a cell somewhere until you appreciate how hard people work for their money.
