Mail app crash every time with 10.5.6 - j.warbler.madman

This is probably caused by an old and busted plug-in which is installed for Mail.app. Take a look in /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ and look for log files starting with "Mail_". You should be able to work backward from this log file to determine what is responsible for the crash. Once you've identified the culprit, download the new version of the plug-in if the developer offers one.

Mail app crash every time with 10.5.6 - hsdajr

In my case, it was the OMiC/Letter Opener plugin for Apple Mail. The developer already has a new update for it (2.0.7). This solved my problem.
