Great alternative to Photoshop - Leppe

About Pixelmator, it's also PPC & Intel compatible!
I understand why developers are moving to Intel only software, even when I think it's going too fast sometimes (but that's a personal opinion).

There are still a lot of PPC users in the graphical sector. That's why I think, at least in some software branches, it's going too fast. To bad that one of the better Open Source programs, like Gimp, went Intel so fast.

We have 5 Macs for graphic work. Only one of the five Macs is Intel.
We invested in new PowerMacs during the Intel switch so it's too soon to look forward and to buy 4 new MacPro's. We are also in a recession you know ;-). The G5 PowerMacs with 8 and 16 Gb RAM and a decent graphic card are still performing very well. I believe we will use them for another year or two (maybe 3).

Again, it's sad that such software went Intel only so fast. I recommend Pixelmator if Photoshop is too expensive for you. Pixelmator is a very fast program with regular updates. It's running great on Intel, G5 and even a G4 processor.
