I still think Toast is the best, and have had almost no problems with versions 8 & 9; And I use the advanced functions all the time, as a self proclaimed expert user.
But I do like the freeware app called "SimplyBurns" (GNU GPL). It is what I put on the Macs of acquaintances who do not have any burning software, other than the burn folder options in the Mac OS; It has a simple interface, and just seems to intelligently enhance those capabilities. I can endorse it as robust. Doesnt do everything that Toast can do, but it does enough for the average user...
