Well, unless you only interact with only Mac people then yes, however, for the rest of us that interact with MS Windows and Linux people that send files as zip, tar.gz, tgz, and other compression formats we will still need this, at least for the graphical interface. I know you can do command line for these but some still like the graphical interface of Stuffit.
