So far ok for 11.5.2? - gmartin5

Not for me ... you see, you need to have 11.5.1 installed before you can install 11.5.2, and I've never been able to get 11.5.1 to install. Just tried again (via both MS update and direct download). The installer program just stalls and I have to force quit.

So far ok - sandhopper

I also had to install all the updaters before I could update to 11.5.2.
Anyway, I'm very happy that all the apps work without any trouble now.

Installer problems ... ah ha!! - gmartin5

It took me a while but I finally figured out the problem with both 11.5.1 and 11.5.2 installers. They work fine as soon as you disconnect external drives (I had a Firewire backup). It seems that the installer heads off to search for versions to update and gets into either a funk or a very long search. The outcome is that the System thinks it has crashed and gives us the dreaded red text in the Force quit window.
So, I have updated. But I now have another nasty problem. I have a lot of colleagues in French- and Spanish-speaking offices so I use the acute accent on the letter 'e' ... as in é (type Option e then e again). As you can see it works fine here in Firefox (as it does on other apps). Except Word 11.5.2!! As soon as I type Option e, word freezes. Peculiar thing is that it does not come up as "not responding" in the Force Quit box. But Force Quit works.
