Very Odd Finder Behavior - macguruguy
You wouldn't be able to "accidentally install this. It runs through several buttons which ask if you want to install the software and where. It just doesn't install by double-clicking the package.Furthermore, this program only runs in the Single-User mode, which requires you to boot your machine using Cmd-S when starting up.
The errors that you are showing randomly appear on my machines, and according to the reports I've read, this is not an uncommon message. Sometimes they cannot be repaired, but are nothing to worry about.
Also, there are uninstall instructions contained in the read me file, which would uninstall the program if you need to remove it.
You were probably experiencing something with your machine at the time you opened the read me.
This is a GREAT piece of software, which has saved my machine (and several machines at work) many times.

I can't see how you could install this and not be fully aware that you did, the installer works the same as any other OS X installer which requires several clicks and even a radio button selection. Not to mention that AppleJack is run in Single User Mode and not when OS X is fully booted. I think what you saw was completely coincidence :)Reply to This
