Because it is the only browser doesn't support keychain? - Ilgaz

Opera had Keychain support back in the day and now they decided to use Wand. OS X keychain is a must for any browser because of how system works. Not just they don't support keychain, they don't support any integration from guys who could code it (1password).

This is not Windows or Linux, this is OS X. Application should respect the OS it works on.

gathers dust - brianjansorge

I keep downloading the latest and greatest (seems like weekly event) Opera. GUI still seems ugly by Camino standards (don't preach about the multitude of UGLY "skins"). Missing some features of Omniweb I find necessary.

Doesn't support keychains like all the other browsers. Won't play with 1Password (which increasing numbers find essential). A deal breaker. Period. Too bad. Has potential.

Better is always different. But different isn't always better. This *is* OS X. Until one browser really *is* necessary (hey, almost everybody I know who uses OS X and is *more* then just a basic user uses more than one browser), people are going to be saving passwords for the internet and *needing* OS X's keychain and/or an application like 1Password.

Sorry, reality is reality. IF Opera zealots had *their* way, life would be miserable for Mac users who expect *more.*

I *refuse* to pander to developers who say it's *their* way or the highway. If I save a password while setting up an account while using Browser "A," I'll be damned if I'm going to have to RE-save it in the other three or four browsers I use *fairly* regularly.

That simple. Period. End of subject.

YMMV. Others, like myself, however, are spoiled. So what?
