You're an idiot... - Jon_Link_871

Wow... you clearly shouldn't be using any SQL at all. This is incredibly simple to use and install. I'm not a Unix geek and I got it together no problem.

If you can't figure this out then whatever you are using SQL for is probably wrong. You don't need it.

your comment makes no sense - shish1

I think the opening sentence speaks volumes:

You're an idiot if you think you can use this product without sweat and tears

That makes no sense. So, the geniuses are the one who can't figure phpMyAdmin out? Besides that, you're also essentially calling yourself an idiot.

It's pretty simple to use if you know any mySQL at all. I've a novice with mySQL and have no trouble with phpMyAdmin. If you need one, there are books out there (Packt; PeachPit) on how to use phpMyAdmin.

<p>There's a lot of (rather unhelpful) advice flying around on this particular issue. As with every issue, there's an element of truth in all opinions here.</p>
<p>From certain points of view, it is very easy to set up and with the right mindset can be set up in seconds. I got it working a while back and it got me out of a hole but to be fair, I found it quicker and easier to write the SQL statements myself after that but then, I do like to see what I'm doing.</p>

<p>If you'd like any help with setting this up, feel free to message me back. Once it's working it's a dream to use but I guess you'll have to take our word for that for now...</p>

<p> To the others that have posted comments, perhaps a reminder of what these comments, and this site, are designed for. To help out those that could use a hand from time to time. Comments and reviews may be scathing and scornful from time to time but they are just opinions. If you want to stop people from complaining, take away their reason for complaining and help them out. It's obvious that you have the expertise!</p>

I totally agree. It was annoyingly difficult to set it up, and when I finally did it automatically produced houndreds of tables without warning me!

If you don't know MySQL very well, steer clear of this application. It's just too troublesome.
