I'll keep an eye on this - reowen

I agree completely.

If I had to give up Eudora today I'd switch to Gyaz Mail. It is clean and reportedly very solid (more so than Apple Mail). I've briefly tried PowerMail (fairly powerful but I found it clumsy) and Thunderbird. I'll keep using Eudora for now and hope for Odysseus to come through.

But I want features such as option-click to group items by author or subject and the ability to edit mail messages that I've only found in Eudora.

Your comments about the client being nowhere near ready are spot-on. I've followed development for months, and the whole development cycle has been characterized by grandiose claims -- and despite a repeated inability to meet ridiculously precise promised release dates (see one of the screenshots that announces 1.0 for May 12). The program is being developed cross-platform in RealBasic. More importantly, as much as I liked Eudora, you have to wonder about the raison d'etre of a product that is primarily conceived as a nearly-identical update of someone else's program. Talk about a lack of vision and originality! I think it's time to move on.
