Yes. Just keep jacking around with it. Unplug the iPhone from the computer and plug it back. I *think* the deal is that the iTunes store is overwhelmed or something, and the phone can't reach the store to activate. Eventually, if you keep messing with it a bit, it will get the connection it needs to the store and the phone will come to life.
