Tried it on several macs - Gordon Alley

It worked on my 15” 800Mhz iMac earlier this year. I haven't tried the 2.0 version, since that iMac is basically “retired” now.

Try installing it in firewire mode from another mac, it worked fine for us here.

I'd second the firewire mode suggestion. That has worked for me on all my unsupported G4's.

Update: I had a lot of trouble trying to load it on my 800 MHz 17" imac, 1GB RAM 80 GB HDD. which seems to be the last nut to crack. A college of mine tried it, he did video updates, which I thought were all done, and bingo...... it works. We were able to do an upgrade instead of erase and install. Before it kept going to open firmware, now it just works.
