Why does this have five stars? - weasel-boy

To be fair, the end resulting movie comes out smooth. Something that didn't used to happen a few versions ago.

But while you are assembling things, the program is incapable of presenting simple, smooth crossfaded transitions. Working with a sound track really points out what a misery this is. How is it possible to make creative artistic decisions based on what you are seeing in the construction process? This needs to be addressed.

Why does this have five stars? - Laraine Anne Barker

Yes, I'm puzzled too. The developer has given fairly low machine specs to use his program. I suggest he try making a decent slide show using a G4 processor! It's certainly about time he took notice of users' comments. There are enough saying the same thing!

The rating includes all the previous versions not just this release. This current version is still waiting for enough votes to create a rating... which looks like 1 star so far.

It does seem to be a mystery why previous versions seemed to fetch higher ratings... perhaps people thought the jerkiness was part of the transition effect?! Even though the final result is smooth, a bigger mystery is why people would pay for this program when the Ken Burns effect comes free in iPhoto and iMovie when you buy a mac. Does Mr. Burns get his cut from each sale?

In my opinion, this should be a free beta download until they can iron out the bugs, Id also be interested in knowing if they have the rights to use the Ken Burns effects since they're using it to turn a profit.
