The Software is Free But... - bakutofino
trashing the application due to the cost of a data subscription that was made necessary by a third party syndicate is disingenuous on your part.since elgato seems to be unwilling and unable to implement tv listings for canada, this is the only option you have to get that functionality for eyetv.
macprogramguide used to work with the free tv schedule data feed from zap2it, that sadly got discontinued.
thanks to developers like cool mac software, schedules direct was formed and stepped up to the plate to negotiate a license for that feed for non-commercial use by third party software.
i signed up when the cost was $20 for THREE months, which dropped very quickly due to a growing subscriber base.
i for one am happy it works as promised, keeps getting updated with new features often and the cost for getting a tv schedule that works in canada is worth 5 cents a day to me.
now if only elgato would get off their ass...
