I was considering upgrading from the rather clunky Accordance version 6 that I'm currently using, but don't feel it's worth $49. Your business model doesn't appear to place much value on rewarding customer loyalty. Rather than losing $10 by offering a discounted upgrade path, you'd apparently prefer to get $0 when customers choose not to upgrade at all.
