I don't use this software and don't intend to, but if i did want to read free ebooks, this would be my software of choice and i would pay for it.
Does this sentence make sense? Free ebooks, but a paid for reader, which offers lots of extra features. It takes a lot of effort to write software like this and I'm sure the authors don't particularly appreciate being called con artists. Or, even better, why don't you offer a free alternative yourself?
