update won't install - tpulhamus

Uh...how about an Apple iMac ATI Radeon 2600/2400 XT, as mentioned in the title? Or you might try using software update, which would tell you if you need the update. Or using the information in the 'About this mac' More Info box (click the apple in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. Select 'about this mac'. Click the button that says 'More info'. Click on the item labeled 'Graphics/Displays' in the left-hand column of the box that pops up. At the top of the window on the right will be the type and model number of your graphics card. Then you can compare that with what's in the title of the download). See how easy things are when you learn how to use your computer?

update won't install - Jotaro

Come on guys! If the installer says that your computer doesn't need the update it means that it doesn't need it.

update won't install - ecantrell

turns out the system requirement on Apple support site was updated yesterday which shows this

System Requirements
Mac OS X 10.5.2 or later
iMac Early 2008

If you are not owner of iMac Early 2008 then this is not for you.
