Yes you can!

But remote controlling iTunes is not the main use for Playwatch.

Playwatch was designed to display iTunes Track and Album Information in a nice and smooth way and to be as unobtrusive as possible.

Remote Controlling iTunes is, at the moment, although nice, just a side-effect. But this may change in future releases, if users request it.
