Agreed. While it may be correct that the bulk of the IT world uses English and the exposure for the software and the developer would be broader if documentation included English, the tone of the original statement seemed a bit harsh. I look at it more this way: as a native English speaker I feel so fortunate that the software world speaks my language rather than forcing me to use a language I'm less comfortable in.
