UNINSTALL OLD VERSION FIRST! - rdcain

Thanks for the tip. I was amazed at the number of permission errors that needed correcting after the install.

Have tested this update after permissions repair and it runs as sweet as a nut. Also, the flaky behaviour whereby the viewing window disappears depending on the scroll bar position seems to have been fixed.

UNINSTALL OLD VERSION FIRST! - Richard Knight

How does one know (a) what's alerady installed and (b) how to uninstall it...I have no "Flash Uninstaller"...a little more help would be good...it's like saying "To go to the moon just build a rocket" sounds so easy, but only if you know how ;-)

UNINSTALL UNNECESSARY - Eric M

With all due respect, uninstalling is not called for here. At least in my own experience, what you're suggesting is overkill. Adobe *does* advise that you close all browsers before installing. And as others have noted it is wise to repair permissions after installation.

After quitting Safari 3.1 and Camino 1.5.5, I ran the installer. Then I fired up Disk Utility and repaired a lot of related permissions (Adobe needs to improve in this area IMO). Restarted both browsers and have not missed a beat.
