Sorry I seem to have double-posted.

I decided I wanted to return to using the MX Revolution. I had begun to dislike the G9. I found a problem with Steermouse in that it lacks an uninstaller. After installing my new Logitech MX Revolution and software, the System Prefs pane could not find the MX and my MacOSX Dock stopped being accessible. In addition, Finder menu behavior was unstable. Trashing Steermouse's System Prefs pane and preferences, still left me with the same problems. After manually trashing the steermouse.kext file in the MacOSX's System Extensions, the problems went away.
I still recommend Steermouse but it badly needs an uninstaller.
Works well with Logitech G9 - Ocker
