No worries, some companies actually does it - Ilgaz

In fact, there is a company (lets not name it) who tried to charge for their "minor bugs fixed" release and of course didn't miss the chance of Leopard Upgrade to charge their customers.
Each update costs $25... Sounds stupid to you? Well, there is another option... $100/year subscription :)
As there are such evil companies on OS X market (sadly, growing list), nobody can blame you for misunderstanding the pricing.

BIG MISTAKE - Rider

Actually, I find that you posted this quite useful. VersionTracker only lists the upgrade cost without a qualifier; namely, that the $49.95 is for an upgrade from v.3 to v.4. That you posted this comment enlightened me to the fact that the upgrade is free to v.4 owners. So thanks because I wouldn't have realized this.
