Needs improvement, but it's not that bad - epc

Just to give you a quick update, and a few caveats.
1. I have not used the programs extensibly. It will take me a few months to do so :-)

2. I've used mostly Entourage, and have found the following issues:
- Categories were not assigned to the folders that I imported from Entourage. Assigning categories is quick and easy.
- Rules were imported, but I've had to re-select some folders in order for the rule to work. Easy fix.
- I reinstalled Spam Sieve's scripts. Easy fix.

3. For the main document that I'm working on I'll keep on using Word 2004, since I'm using a template that will not work on 2008.
BTW, regarding my original comment, the Elements Gallery toolbar does not show in certain views such as Draft or Outline.

4. Most of the Excel documents I've opened have VBA code, so they don't work on 2008. It's not a big problem for me, though. From what I remember most of the code was for selecting areas, printing, and so on, so that people could perform these functions at the click of a button. Annoying, but it was expected and announced over a year ago.

5. PowerPoint opens presentations that would crash 2004. So far 2008 has not crashed. Chances are that I will use Keynote 4 for making presentations. It's the only iWork application that I would use instead of an Office one.

If possible, I would suggest that you keep a version of 2004 as well.
I hope this helps.
