Has One Fatal Flaw - epresley

All of these programs suffer from not just design flaws but also from the flaw that they think these programs need to be simple, meaning, stupid, for the user to stay focused. For me its just the opposite. I need format and editing choices when I work. Maybe not the depth of Word, and certainly more streamlined and easy to use, but I do need to be able to manipulate and save and compile to SOME degree. I do like the idea of having "sub-documents" and "sub-databases" that are searchable, filterable and flexible as part of that document. Give me something in between Word and Bean with a system of dock-able / float-able palates of sub documents and databases that will search and grab at will along with a built in dictionary / thesaurus / language translater / wikipedia browser all right there so I don't have to leave my program. Also it needs to be able to have extensions built for it so I don't have to leave it to leverage, say, my e-mail or music player. I don't want to write in a sterile environment with no access to the world outside. Give me that as an option, but don't make it the only way to work with a program. If you can build a program with those features, I'd buy it, until then... the world doesn't need another half baked half database half text editor "thing" masquerading as some sort of screenplay or writing tool.
