Thanks for your feedback. The password requests were cut back in v1.3 so that it was only necessary to enter a password when changing one of the dock images. In v1.4 (out 25 February 2008), it will only be necessary to input a password once per session. The colours of the background panel are a personal preference I suspect, but I have been thinking about altering the colours slightly for a while, and have toned them down to more pastel colours in v1.4.
