The Logitech software is truly bad. I never seen so many problems with software from a hardware manufacture and they are not will to fix. However this is not limited to Macs but Windows also.
I have contacted Logitech customer service but I get the run around about un-installing and then re-installing the drivers but my most recent incident with my Logitech mouse actually locked up my MacBookPro keyboard and trackpad. I couldn't get any response from the Logitech MX500 mouse, the built-in keyboard and trackpad on MacBookPro. I finally try an external keyboard and mouse on the other USB port before my MacBookPro would respond. After I quit all the open applications I shutdown the system and then cleared PRAM and then I could use the built-in keyboard and trackpad.
