I've had this software installed and used heavily on my machines through five different OS X installations and three different Macs and I have never had a kernel panic from this software.I highly doubt that the kernel panic was caused by Snapz.

Installs a kernel extension, so I quit using it - Pen Dragon
I used Snapz for years, but have had to quit using it since they started using a kernel extension--several years ago--because of repeated kernel panic. Now I use the built in screen capture and edit the images using Imaginator, which gives me better control over the images anyway, including batch processing of screen shots. I loved Snapz, but the X version was causing system-level instability. When I removed the kernel extension, stability returned. Sigh! It was awesome.Wednesday, February 06 2008 @ 12:00 AM PST

I to bought this software with the MacHeist bundle (it was THE reason I bought it). I've used it on both my G4 dual 1GHz MDD Powermac running 10.4.8 and my MacBook 2GHz C2D running 10.5.2. I've made numerous video captures on both without issues. Sounds like you have a clonflict with maybe the install or another app.Thursday, April 24 2008 @ 12:20 PM PDT

Did you ever try to resolve this through Ambrosia as they requested? I've never had a single issue with this software, and I use it every day--repeatedly.Thursday, August 21 2008 @ 11:47 PM PDT
