Hmmmm - looking for patterns often indicates anal retentive or a psychosis! I am NOT in any way associated with the development of this product. I have used it since the early days. I do use it for converting mp3 to aif/aiff, and for converting sample rate in preparation of burning sound files to DVD (for archiving) - as part of my radio job. I do use some top end apps in my work, but for example, i discovered this little app will resample 44.1 to 48Hz in less than a third of the time it take Peak Pro.
So, I have not used it in its broadest potential application, but, what i have used it for it has worked brilliantly. While I cannot make a blanket statement regarding how others maintain their equipment, it seems to me that often the failure of any given app to work can sometimes come down to the lack of appropriate housekeeping on the machine. Incidentally, I use it on both my Powerbook and Powermac.
