Downloaded and installed the latest version (the one with the GUI). Works like a charm. Found an obscure virus lurking in an old Entourage email and was intelligent enough to NOT quarantine my whole Entourage database.
BTW, I received two follow up replies from Symantec, one asking if my problem was solved (No), the other a customer satisfaction survey. I responded to both with some choice words and I vowed NEVER to buy another Symantec product again... to which I got a customer service reply saying thank you! All the signs of a product with it's head so far up it's butt that it's back where it started! I think they should just give parting gifts to the two or three Mac developers there who are cowering in a cubicle and just surrender themselves to Vista land...
