v6 is a paid upgrade … - sjk

… but it's not obvious on Lemkesoft's site unless you go to the order page.

If you had saved the disk image file of the earlier version and the registration key, you could reinstall it. If you didn't do that, you have only yourself to blame. Don't downgrade Graphic Converter because of your own actions.

GC has been reasonably priced. And considering it can be used in Demo mode, you were not even denied the application. So, he handled the upgrade not as you would have liked so you say the application is a bad one and not recommended? You're wrong.

i'm sure that if you email the developer, he'd be happy to send you a link to the version you purchased--or send you the file. nice guy. ethical, too.

try that.

I guess I don't see what the issue is. You paid for a version 'some years ago' and when you recently downloaded a new version it asked to be paid for a registered? The program is 35 bucks for heavens sake!! You don't go into a car dealership and expect to get a new car without putting down some cash just because you owned a prior model. Seriously, read through your post logically, follow the steps to where a purchase 'some years ago' entitles you to get a free one currently.

GraphicConverter did NOT "overwrite" your existing version, it had to be YOU who did that. Always run new versions once, isolated from your existing version, before you trash your old copy. And no backup of an earlier version? Shame on you.

Shame on you. It is a cheap software, v6 is a big update you need to pay, if you don't want to upgrade, just use v5. I'm sure if you contact the author he will send you v5 and your code.

Don't blame others for your errors.

Great Price ! - palm_beach_florida

I too had to pay for the Upgrade, but for 35.00 it's a steal.

I bet there is 1000's of hours of R&D in this program to make it to work with just about every file type known to man. PhotoShop is 611.49 on Amazon, I know PhotoShop is a High End Program, but I will never be able to figure all the options and to fully use the App.

All I need to do is batch change folders, resize, crop and make photos for ebay sometimes.

I can sell a piece of junk from a garage or attic for 35.00 or more and the GC is paid for. If you can't figure out how to sell something on ebay to make some extra money, maybe computers are not for you.

Cry, cry, cry, I have to pay for something.
