I think the present behavior of Spaces is just fine. I just group all my applications that use the internet together (like Mail, Safari, etc.) in the same space (so if I click on a link in Mail, I don't have to move to another space to see the link open in Safari). I put all my music related into another space (like iTunes, Hijack Pro, etc), and all my business related into another space (Numbers, Merlin, Pages, Word (sorry, evil I know) etc.)
I hope they don't change it to *force* it to not change without specific input, as that would be a major pain in the a$$ to have to do another step to move to another space!!
BTW, if I ever do want to use this, how about upgrading it to work on PowerPC's also, I have 2 17" PowerBooks & a G5 Quad, but no Intel chip Macs yet?
