Nothing like 3 updates in a week to help shake one's confidence in an app, but I digress...
I went to the develper's site- they link to v2.3.6 as the download for pre-Leopard versions of OS X. That's the version I'll be sticking with until further notice.
(Being that there's a variety of apps that duplicate the functionality of MacPilot, give or take a few obscure settings, one can always switch to a free alternative like Onyx until the developer can clarify the situation for themselves...)
