"Now I find every day my chosen desk top picture...replaced by Apple Adverts for their products. I cannot get any response out of Apple either, or find out how to switch off the interference."
•Totally bizarre behavior...there are no "Apple Adverts" anywhere in the system that I know of. Perhaps you're talking about the RSS screen saver that shows Apple News? I wonder if you need to repair permissions? It sounds like your choice of screen saver just "isn't sticking".

•Not an Apple product. Previously included on the hard drive, but not a program that Apple maintains.
